The city of Syracuse is rich in relics and monuments that make it one of the most fascinating in the world. A brilliant city beautiful and strong, unique for the mixture of the remains of ancient Greece, those of imperial Rome and the Sicilian Baroque, which is in Syracuse a very special place lighting and stone.
Since we arrived in Old Town, the island of Ortigia, is near the ruins of the temple of Apollo and a few hundred meters from the Piazza Duomo, in which stands the magnificent Baroque facade the cathedral built on the ancient temple of Athena whose cathedral still keeps intact the colonnade. In addition, you will see the Abbey of St Lucia, for the unique essentiality of the facade, and the palace of the senate of ancient Rome (now the town hall), a magnificent example of late baroque design by Giovanni Vermexio, architect of the seventeenth century.

Syracuse hosts each year in the Greek theater, which you can see an image in the top left, the cycles of tragedy and comedy classic: a superb opportunity to attend during your stay in a unique in the world.
